Kick Off
Honestly, the story is bland, and the art is what adds the spice. I’m upping my rating because of the ending… I liked the surprising character development of the ML and him showing vulnerability. This had an interesting resolution, but it was anticlimactic in that the ML’s deception was kinda shoved under the rug. Or, maybe what I want to say is that I thought it would be a bigger deal since that was the premise of the whole story. Anyway, I like that Jaeha has dark skin, but it’s a bit too cool toned? Idk maybe that just has to do with his personality. I do like their dynamic, but the story could be improved upon. This is good for the author’s first work.
Complex XXX
Unfortunate that the ending felt rushed. I thought this was really cute at first and that the premise was somewhat intriguing (The ML literally gave the MC trauma about his "girlish" nipples lmao). Towards the middle, I thought it was very cute, and I liked seeing them as friends. It just fell off at the end, though. I wish we could've seen more of the MC's internal strife struggling to find out what kind of person he wanted the ML to be to him. Other than that, it had some funny moments and did seem promising but ultimately underwhelmed me.
Wizard of Eden
Playboy ML x Timid MC…. I relatively like this trope. Interesting to see hpw the circus troupe comes into play regarding their relationship. Their backstories seem interesting. Art's good. Can't say I'm hooked yet.
The Voice Next Door
I mean, it's alright…. I was expecting more voicing acting bits, but this was more so a story about miscommunication and accepting yourself? This would've been better had they expanded on the latter detail, but this was on the shorter side after all. One good thing we got was role playing? Jokes aside, pretty okay read. It's rare that you see an innocent top. The side characters felt a little redundant as if the author was trying their damn hardest to shove their ship down my throat, though.
