Kiraboshi Dial
I love this mangaka! Anyway, this was short, yet satisfying, I especially liked the ending and the recurrent themes you can catch. Some parts of the storytelling were really good. It’s a fluffy and sweet read. The art was *delicious* ofc
Confessions of a 35 Year Old
I appreciated the realism in this. Like the ML is bisexual. The MC grapples with his internalized homophobia and the weight of societal expectations. There was also the showing of workplace bullying as well, which was a nice touch. Romance-wise…. Well, I doubt you can really call this a romance comic in the typical sense. The open ending was nice, but it felt like the author barely skimmed the surface of their relationship. It’s like drawing a shounen protagonist gearing up and training for the big match, only to not show it all. It was a decent story, just not a very memorable or particularly amazing one.
Lovers, Cats, and the Killer
This is really interesting! A contemporary regression with almost no fantasy elements involved. I find both the leads’ professions (firefighter and policeman) quite intriguing. they’re combating the “evil” in society one could say. they’re very sweet together. *sobs* the slow burn was burning alright.i’m glad things ended happily! very satisfying ending. love the animals as well
It Starts With Stalking
What a plot twist! The ML, I’d argue, was even more obsessive than the MC. It was all part of his plan from the start…. The last panel was really… Plus, the ML lowkey raped the MC erm. WELL. Anyway, it was a memorable read. I can see how the ML is a little reminiscent of Eunsung from Checkmate. The *art* was really good.
Golden Opportunity
I don’t usually read yakuza stuff, but this is really good. As much as there is smut, there is some plot to go along with it. Gang politics, the mystery behind Ryu Jean’s death, the leads’ past together— It makes for a thrilling read. The side characters aren’t flat either. I like how they pretty much have their own personalities. On top of that, the size difference is pretty refreshing. If you’re into that, one of the better reads out there.
Inran Joushi no Private Porno
Sweet and fluffy! The art was so delicious, and the smut was smutting. The older bottom was rly erotic. I also liked the tropes ofc. Plot-wise, it’s nothing out of the ordinary, but cute nonetheless.
The Troublesome Guest of Sotomura Detective Agency
this was alright. not very romantic in the typical sense, but it was still an interesting read. i liked the mini detective episodes. ngl the story just fell a bit flat for me. their dynamic was boring… the ending was okay, though. they were cute ig. some of the parts WERE ridiculous like wdym that matusda almost got raped by his ex erm
Kimi ga Dotei Dakara
Majo to Neko
Absolutely loved the word building! This could’ve been way longer than it was. Kinda wanted more. This action-filled plot was top tier. Loved their dynamic. I appreciate how none of it seemed to be over-exaggerated like other commenters pointed out. They were just a regular couple trying to find peace. The storytelling and art (*chef’s kiss* delicious) were just too good. I personally was a big fan of Sudou’s design. I really do not have the proper words to describe it. I don’t share the same sentiment for the second couple as other people do tbh…
