That's the Way the Cookie Crumbles
I would’ve liked this more had both the stories NOT kicked off with a literal rape/dubious consent scene! The author has to be insane for repeating that same, ass trope. the first story was pretty rushed, and i can’t say i enjoyed it all that much. i liked the pairing, though. the second story was much more fleshed out! i def liked it more than the first, but it would’ve benefited from not having rape and expanding on the leads’ past together. this was just… bad. not the worst. but worse than average.
Yuusha to Maou no Love One-Room
I really liked this! Healthy relationship and an interesting dynamic. Lovely established relationship fluff. There were so many loose ends, though. Like what of Oz? His character as a legendary wizard was revealed and then the author didn’t address any of it. The MC’s brother also came to the human world, but there are no ending comments of whether he’ll go back or not. This manga was a window into their daily lives, but it suddenly cuts off. The mangaka could have written a lot more to wrap up, and it’s a pity they didn’t. The one-shot also feels out of place. When they could have expanded on the present timeline they just decided to thrust us readers into the future where the characters have entirely different occupations and different characters. This story had so much potential the author just couldn’t draw out fully.
Ryuu to Ayumu Nariagari Boukensha-dou ~ Youzumi toshite S-Rank Party kara Tsuihou Sareta Kaifuku Majutsushi, Suterareta Saki de Saikyou no Shinryuu wo Fukkatsu Sasete Shimau ~
24 Despite the obvious fan service, I find this genuinely interesting. The idea of the MC setting a new precedent for magic using his dragon blood, new combinations/approaches of and to magic feel unique to me. I like his healing powers! Like others, I only care about the story and not the ecchi, but the latter is difficult to ignore and doesn’t add anything to the story.
I'm Not The Saint, So I'll Just Leisurely Make Food At The Royal Palace
just my type of manga. i like the pacing; it’s very chill and makes for a pleasant read. love the comedy and cooking aspects ofc. (the drawings make me hungry) i like how the mc’s body type isn’t seen as something that necessarily heeds to be changed. one thing that kinda irks me is how they keep forcing her to make stuff though…. it’s a me problem, but it hinders my full enjoyment of this manga
This "Summon Kitchen" Skill is Amazing! ~Amassing Points By Cooking in Another World~
im gonna kms this is basically a promotion for the novel very short and obviously unfinished (this is only a small percentage of the light novel after all)i really liked the characters, though! the mc and her skill r so interesting… guess i have to go read the novel now~
Scary And Tough Otoguro, In Love?!
there are extras right…. THERE ARE EXTRAS RIGHT??? the premise was rly good. three fans of the mc wanted to stop him from falling in love, which was funny. BUT what the heck was the last chapter, though? it felt rly odd and out of place with natsuki’s sister suddenly being brought into the mix idk. pages were wasted on her when we could’ve gotten an actual confession… the ending was fairly disappointing. all that buildup wasted. this needed better execution imo
Love Only the Body
Saiyaku ni Shite Madowazu
ahhh this is really good. sometimes you need old men BL. it doesn’t have that spark of puppy love but it still manages to be romantic in its own unique right. i love how this is mature, and you get to see their domesticity ^^ there doesn’t have to be any clear labels; you can just see they mean a lot to each other. the side characters are realistic and aren’t used as one dimensional pawns for the sake of the plot. the leads’ dynamic is so delightful. the mc is relatable and kind of a tsundere while the ml is deadpan yet doting and considerate
Romance, But Not Romantic
they’re such a sweet couple with healthy communication (after the initial misunderstanding ofc). this should be the blueprint for alpha x omega pairings! the ml is such a green flag. i usually don’t like them bc they’re often the same plot copy and pasted, but this manhwa is so, so refreshing. i appreciate how sex scenes aren’t the focus of this manhwa despite still being present. the leads have such great chemistry, and they’re BOTH capable at their jobs. to top it all off, the art is so pretty (i love how they draw seo jinha) *sobs* it’s not deeply breaking apart the omegaverse, but it is most definitely a breath of fresh air. the ending is super sweet as well!
