Garbage Time
One of the best sports manhwa out there. I love that sports is the focal point! We mainly see action and strategy as the main characters struggle to come out on top. It meshes the comedy and sports together well, making for a light, yet exciting read. I particularly enjoyed reading about certain characters and their abilities. E.g: I love Sangho, Byungchan, and Junsoo. For me, this very reminiscent of Kuroko’s Basketball, which I loved dearly. Even the storytelling that has back story integrated between game scenes. The thrilling development and lovable characters keep you wanting more!
Little Hands
the art is phenomenal! it’s a shame this doesn’t have more translated chaps bc i can tell this is rly good. kinda cliché start, but what can i say i’m a sucker for it 7
Genius Archer’s Streaming
I like how this has a clear distinction between game and reality. This also allows for, at the same time, a blend of it. The MC's arm is crippled in real life, but in VR, he's a genius archer. I like the world building as it feels real. The characters are dynamic, and the esports aspect isn't the only focal point of this manhwa so far. we get to see a lot of the mc's character. he's relatable, and i think we can really connect with him emotionally! plus, the action is engaging. plus, the novel is GREAT. esports action plus great relationships with characters
Home Plate Villain
75 the action is saur good! even with his skills, he doesn’t seem ridiculously OP. very entertaining read. decent baseball manhwa
Cycling Hit
Gosh this is really good! It’s slow paced (the romance), but the slow burn actually feels rewarding. I also love the effort that goes into the baseball elements. As a die hard fan of sports manga, this satisfies my itch for that and also a sports-based BL. The two elements are perfectly balanced, and the character growth is so well written!
Dance! Subaru
“Ending” was garbage and rushed. What the hell man? Some random dude gets introduced in the last five chapters, and Subaru quits the country WHAT??? what pmo even more is that he’s some random old man who sleeps with her ugh. so nonsenseical update: okay so that was my rage filled immediate feelings after i finished reading… but this is literally a MASTERPIECE; i don’t get why more people are appreciating this! maybe it’s bc it’s too old or the themes are too dark? Subaru’s character development and dance is simply mesmerizing. The way she expresses all her experiences, her trauma— through dance is so beautiful. I also like how this manga acknowledges the influence black people have had on dance, especially hip hop.
Moon - Subaru Solitude Standing
This is by the same author who made possible one of my most favorite sports manga ever, Capeta. Anyway, for one, I'm so glad that nasty old man from the end of the prequel isn't the love interest but a good looking young man who's actually Subaru's age… Subaru's partnership with Nico is quite awe-inspiring as they manage to connect beyond physical limits (that is, vision). The introduction of a rivalry is quite nuanced. I like how Subaru's rival empathizes with her, thus spurring her growth. I like how this sequel focused more on unraveling Subaru's childhood trauma as she has made a name for herself as a dancer. Truly riveting, and I love the emphasis on healing and maturity. I need this to update do badly!!
