Not bad! I liked the first season. Though they were “fake” for a majority of the time, their feelings were very much real. I like how the author didn’t drag out the misunderstanding (for too long anyway). Honestly pretty pure and wholesome so far. Great art. Story had it moments. Enjoyable read. 8/10
My X Best Friend
In all honesty, this felt cut short. It’s cute if you look at it from far enough, but I truly think this was meant to be a longer story, especially if we consider Hyukjae. I liked the childhood friends to lovers trope, but so many of my questions were left unanswered. Hyukjae is a green flag until you realize you’ve been colorblind the whole time. He was obsessive and manipulative, but that made him quite interesting. Suwoo was just your average easily trusting, dense guy. I really wonder what could’ve happened next. But anyway, I really liked the unique art style! It was so prettyyy. 7/10 Update: The extras didn’t do much to add to the ML’s character, but it did add insight to their life after. It wasn’t as heavy as I expected. 7.5/10
Between Encounters
This is actually pretty cute. Love the established relationship fluff and how wprried they get over each other lmao. I guess the characters could be a little more fleshed out, but this was short and sweet. And a little smutty too. But basic. Didn't bring anything new to the table, but if you like this kind of thing…
Kiss dake de Ike souda -Soshite Oretachi ha Ochiteiku-
dramatic (e.g. the wording, phrasing), attempted rape scene but i think that was handled pretty well, feels kinda unfinished, lots of loose ends with mitsuki, had there been more chapters, i would’ve wished for that to be expanded upon. but i did like the romance and how they just unabashedly loved each other. the modeling plot-line was a bit unexplained. the author tried to pass if off as kyosuke doing it bc of unrestrained list for ryo but why the entertainment industry? it’d’ve been nice if we got to see more of kyosuke actually love his job. most of the side characters felt short-lived. despite all that, i liked it actually. and the slight emphasis on the fact that they’re two guys, men, dating. i didn’t approve of the author using the sin analogy every five seconds, but the leads just love each other and that’s that. no need for further explanation.
Wait a Minute! Ore ga Neko Toka Kiitenai!
6 Competeing to be the top was a bit eh. I like switch couples byt this again just shows how being the bottom is viewed as inferior or “womanly.” Was kinda funny. I think this a step in the right direction, though.
