Da Capo
I love this. Love reading manhwa about music! Very uplifting themes combined with school life. The characters are funny, and the MC is relatable.
Piano Duo for the Left Hand
really good! the piano element goes crazy but i also love the other themes such as grief and death. the art is amazing and i quite like the characters. you know what, i quite liked the ending! it was happy, and i’m glad that the mc stopped running away… from himself and his true feelings. i liked the themes of found family. i found this to be a very uplifting manga with great art, too. the pacing was a little iffy (felt pretty fast imo), but it told the story well. for the author’s first work, this did touch my heart ^^ personally, there was more that i wanted from the story. like i wanted the protagonist to find purely his own sound, but the ending *SPOILER WARNING* was okay, too, albeit generic, with them continuing to play the piano together for however time allows
A Tidal Wave of Glory
46 just so good! even though this is tad dramatic with the mc being a prolific music artist. love how he appreciates his fans and his relationships with other characters in the story. you can really feel the emotions and even the music! even if u can’t hear it. the art is gorgeous too
Girl meets Rock!
Beethoven Reborn
53 Really good! I love how this incorporates classical music elements with modern ones too. The slice of life aspects makes this a light, enjoyable read.
Sounds Like
21 Like it so far. Competition aspect isn’t anything new but I like how there’s a focus on the characters’ emotions
Shout Loud My Heart
That was…. SAUR good??! It’s gems like these that maintain my hope in BL. It’s criminal how this is so short! Despite the lack of significant relationship development, I loveddd the music elements. Really sweet premise, and I love their dynamic near the end! I wonder how much better this could have been with the characters more flushed out because I really loved THISS and the gorgeous art.
WonDance
61 REALLLY good! I was out off by this at first because of the art style, but just reading this you can tell how much reverence had for hip hop and street dancing! All of dance battle and competition scenes just feed my brain so well! Very thrilling moments. I love how the art is focused more on the form and silhouette of the characters when needed. Story wise, it’s nothing groundbreaking. The romance subplot is alright. I like how it isn’t the main focus, though there is still a fair bit of tension between the two leads. This is like a breath of fresh air because hip hop and other dancing styles are the star here, as opposed to ballet or contemporary dance.
