This is actually really good! It gets better near the end. It’s cool how they all like each other. it’s got this mature vibe, which is why it may not be everyone’s cup of tea

yk what this is rly interesting. it goes deep into the systemic side of the omegaverse. very good commentary on feminism and patriarchy.

Finally not a tragic yuri… but still pretty angsty, though. I really loved this! It really showcases the very real struggles of lesbianism, having to deal with heteronormativity, homophobia, misogyny, etc. I thought it was quite refreshing that the FL is pregnant, but it’s not seen as something to be ashamed of. The storytelling is so beautiful and realistic, and even the FL’s abusive husband has trauma like he isn’t just some one dimensional bad man interfering with their relationship (though he’s still a jerk)

48 This is definition of a toxic relationship… The ML can’t stand not being in control of their relationship and whenever the MC does something he deems is “wrong,” he punishes the MC. He controls the MC’s every move, and the MC can’t really do anything because he’s being threatened. The ML is super abusive. I’m interestingggg how things will unfold, though, so ig I will keep reading? The art is good at least

“Ending” was garbage and rushed. What the hell man? Some random dude gets introduced in the last five chapters, and Subaru quits the country WHAT??? what pmo even more is that he’s some random old man who sleeps with her ugh. so nonsenseical update: okay so that was my rage filled immediate feelings after i finished reading… but this is literally a MASTERPIECE; i don’t get why more people are appreciating this! maybe it’s bc it’s too old or the themes are too dark? Subaru’s character development and dance is simply mesmerizing. The way she expresses all her experiences, her trauma— through dance is so beautiful. I also like how this manga acknowledges the influence black people have had on dance, especially hip hop.

This is by the same author who made possible one of my most favorite sports manga ever, Capeta. Anyway, for one, I'm so glad that nasty old man from the end of the prequel isn't the love interest but a good looking young man who's actually Subaru's age… Subaru's partnership with Nico is quite awe-inspiring as they manage to connect beyond physical limits (that is, vision). The introduction of a rivalry is quite nuanced. I like how Subaru's rival empathizes with her, thus spurring her growth. I like how this sequel focused more on unraveling Subaru's childhood trauma as she has made a name for herself as a dancer. Truly riveting, and I love the emphasis on healing and maturity. I need this to update do badly!!

5 Confinement but not toxic! It’ll be interesting to see how the ML deals with his trauma and his twisted feelings toward the MC…

A manga that explores the dark side of the entertainment industry! The tragic ending was definitely…. ***SPOILER*** Killing off Aqua was definitely a choice. He didn’t have to die, you know? There were absolutely other ways for revenge to be served. SIGHS IDK HOW TO FEEL ABT IT. kind of feels like a cop out on the author’s part. The buildup makes the ending fairly disappointing… The MC’s quest for revenge ends in such an…anticlimactic way? The author just chooses to revert back to that shock factor the premise has without any real substance imo. That aside, I do like how the author isn’t afraid to shy away from the nitty gritty of the entertainment industry with themes like pedophilia, parasocial relationships, etc. Some aspects were definitely weird though like wdym the two twins KISSED??! The borderline incest makes me want to kms. The art is definitely one of a kind; I’ve never seen such an emphasis on the characters’ pupils. I did love the few acting elements that that were present, but above all, this mangaka nailed both the negative and positive sides to being an idol. Not perfect, but the story certainly captivated me!

201 Yk there’s usually no coming back from sexual assault and RAPE, but this manga manages to do it? And it doens’t frame what the ML did in a positive light either. It’s a stain on his character and something he deals with as part of his trauma from parental neglect… Doesn’t excuse what he did, but I like how the story doesn’t just ignore it. I really love their dynamic after the premise is out of the way, and the smut is pretty good! The storytelling is on point at several moments in the story n I can really feel the characters’ emotions! A surprisingly enjoyable read.
