I want moreeee! Hopefully the author feels incentivized to make this a series, but this is it! I’m always hungry for more guideverse, and I like the tropes here. Younger top x older bottom, etc. It’s also nice how the MC (white haired) is so straightforward about what he likes. Good premise, lots of potential.
If You Want Me
37 Ugh the ML is so DENSE. and highkey a jerk at times?? They’re both so stupid and the misunderstandings just pile onto each other
Cozy Obsession
45 interesting! it’s like a parody on toxic omegaverse. i like that the mc is so straightforward and cute. this is alpha x omega but it has a different twist, which i like. i like the psychological undertones, and the mystery is really intriguing. angst? yes. tragic? also yes.
My Unexpected Roommate
Slow, boring, and mid. The pacing is so slow and for what? There’s no tension between the two leads at all, and the flow feels weird. One second they’re walking on eggshells around each other and the next a drunk encounter ? After all that, the best the author can do is make them both drunk? C’mon now. There’s virtually no payoff to this and there’s even a timeskip so no lovey dovey couple fluff…. Sighs. Waste of my time
The Boundary of Delusion
24 Their chemistry is insaneee. The MC is a lil’ weird tho (aka sus). Anyway, love a muscly bottom any day!
Myungwol Bathhouse
44 I like the direction this comic takes from the premise! Despite the title, the story isn’t mainly about a bathhouse— it’s just where the MC and the ML’s love begins. I love the focus on their careers as designers! Art is gorgeous obvi, and I love the main couple’s simply, yet affectionate dynamic. Misunderstandings aren’t too drawn out, making this a more refreshing read. I do wish some of the characters had more nuance however, such as the MC’s ex whose primary is to be a jerk and a hindrance to the MC and nothing else. Decent read
Dog and Bird
45 One of the notable things about this is how it subverts expectations. The MC is an omega, but he doesn’t look like on in the traditional sense. he’s muscular, he can fend for himself— I really appreciate his character and how he doesn’t let the ML walk all over him! and i love that the author still flushed out his emotional side and such. The ML feels like your typical alpha, top dog, possessive love interest, but I liked that the author shows his actual care for the MC! plus, the misunderstanding isn’t drawn out, and the adult characters actually act like adults (thank the heavens). In a way the storytelling isn’t particularly special; what makes this standout is its use of the familiar tropes we know and twisting it another delightful direction. I hope the “love” part of the relationship gets flushed out in the side stories as it feels incomplete as of now with the ending of the second season.
