My Little Brother Is The Academy’s Hotshot
I know an Eren when I see one with him wanting exterminate every last dragon and what not, and I'm uncertain of whether I should be concerned or not. Concerned probably. The circumstances behind the MC (Rudd)'s regression are relatively especial and distinctive. What's the deal with the void dragon? What of his brother's presence, and why does it seem as if he is slowly taking on the roles of his older brother.... I like that the MC isn't your typical genius, rather he's a veteran whose technique is refined and therefore flawless. His personality's pretty likable; he's like a toned down version of Katsuki Bakugo. I don't have anything against his female companions (though it does give a sense of harem) or any of his companions for that matter. The action is really good. So far, the MC's the perfect genius with tons of masters doting on him. I wholly anticipate the arrival of the protag's new skills and character development along the way. Not particularly a fan of his quest for vengeance, but we'll see.
Rescue System
Funny how he becomes a celebrity firefighter lmao. He's a bit bull-headed but not unkind. He has a girlfriend (FL), but she's cool. Nice firefighter action. The system's pretty interesting. Art's decent. Satisfies my urge to read firefighter comics.
Top Star’s Talent Library
I find the message of this story interesting, the idea that "hard work and effort doesn't betray oneself." It's contradictory in itself as the MC needed those talent books to even debut. He relies on the talent books in order to excel at whatever he does. Reminds me of Deku from MHA where he couldn’t become a hero no matter how he tried as he was quirkless. Nice to think about. Anyway, this comic is pretty good. You have your healthy dose of idol drama, slice of life, teamwork, etc. Idols doing things idols do. The art isn't fantastic, but it's enough for the story. Hope there isn't any romance or anything, but I'm getting serious FL vibes from Arin. *cough* I've read better manhwa about idols. I feel that the talent library idea has a lot of potential, though.
Han Dae Sung Returned From Hell
So heckin' slow. I've read 27 chapters, and I feel like I've read absolutely nothing. The setting's familiar and all, but it's just so boring at the moment. Not really seeing any character development (not that I expect much this early in the game), but you'd think there'd be SOMETHING to draw you in. There really isn't. The MC's the ruler of hell, and he goes in and out of the gate thing-y to have mini training arcs. T-T
Love in Orbit
I Became A Top Actor Just By Reading Books
There's a bit of a romance subplot, but it doesn't subtract from the acting (which I read this for)! Enjoyable to see the MC acting in different works and slowly climbing his way up. I'd like to him use his writing skills at least once in his second life, though. There's a bit of drama with other actors here and there, scandals, etc. Has some wholesome (and funny) moments that really make you want shout "Ganbare!" at the MC, haha.
The Chaebeol’s Youngest Son
I'm already reading this on Naver WEBTOON, but I figured I would read it here, since it's so good. Kind of reminds of "Again, My Life" with all the secrecy happening behind closed doors. The MC also has large ambitions and is planning out step by step how to realize his vision. He's greedy, yet he doesn't hide it. He's living his second life, yet he still shows affects to those he holds dear (e.g. his parents). I personally find all the business jargon very interesting, and I'm liking the development of the character relationships.
I am possessed by the Sword God
Heavy bromance. Refreshing take on the Murim setting. Usually see girl obsessed MCs, but here the MC genuinely wants to grow stronger. Character growth. Both physically and mentally. Dynamic characters. Friendship. Good action. Not bad. Better than I expected, and I look forward to when the MC starts developing an ego.
Judge Lee Han Young
Really good comic about law! Reminded me of "Again My life" in that the MC is working towards taking down these extremely powerful figures, being a sort of harbinger of justice. Our MC regressed into the past, and he changes the lives of those around him. In both good and bad ways. I'm glad the MC isn't a judge like Judge Cha Moon-sook from Lawless Lawyer, haha. This is more so about fighting with words, you know, political stuff. There might be a romantic subplot brewing, but again, it is not the main focus of the story. Plus, the female characters in the story do play a pivotal role. The MC isn't too one dimensional. Like, he has other sides to him (e.g. Pokémon battle theme ringtone, cute pajamas) which I found to be a pleasant touch to his character. Not too sure why people are saying this should be a BL. Maybe it's because of his "friend," Yoon-hyuk? Yoon-hyuk reminds me of that blond dude from "Medical Return." Haha, anyway, the MC slowly but surely climbs up the social latter and tackles case upon case in order to serve justice whilst operating under the law and all that. Thrilling action. Compelling story and improving art.
