Are you the Hero's Boyfriend?
Cure Blood
This was so short, yet extremely compelling. It captured the pain and the loneliness that comes with longevity and at the same time the leads’ love for each other. The execution and art were beautiful. I think what made this manga stand out to me was the progression of time. You see the people around the MC grow older (i.e. hia family, coworkers, even the ML) while the MC stays looking young. The setting pf how he turned into a vampire wasn’t fully developed, but I think this story didn’t need that. It was more about the tragedy of longevity. Loved this!
I Stole the Number One Ranker’s Soul
The cover should really be changed bc ngl I was put off by that at first. Anyway, I love this so much!! Why didn't I read this sooner? The character are so endearing to me (esp. Jihan hehe). I love this mostly for the fact that it's simply a great action manhwa, save for the fact the MC happens to be female. The story and worldbuilding are immersive (the overarching plot is intriguing as it's different from other action that I've read), and she's also OP. There's character development such that the characters don't feel flat. The art is so fracking pleasing/beautiful as well! I personally love the MC's design. She truly is a king with her insect-like crown. You'd expect that the romance to be a bother, but it's not at all. It's subtle and slow but not too much. Overall, a great read you shouldn't miss out on. Jihan is too cute...
Lucky Credit
this is actually sooo interesting! never read anything quite like it. the concept of lucky credit is relatively innovative and the ml is mysterious
God of Autopsy
16 This is interesting imo. Combines forensics with detective stuff. Which makes sense bc forensics is closely tied with that but I'd expect more autopsies yk? Well it's still interesting tho
Mikata ga Yowasugite Hojo Mahou ni Tesshiteita Kyuutei Mahoushi, Tsuihou Sarete Saikyou wo Mezashimasu
such a good manga! the female characters are given flesh and story. i’m really glad they don’t exist solely for the MC. the MC is quite cool! he’s a genius in magic, yet was mistreated by the prince… anyway, i really like the themes of friendship. all the characters are dynamic, even the no-good prince, who actually gets character development! the art is great (just look at the amount of detail in the panels). amazing, action-packed read.
Sleeping Dead
frickin’ masterpiece. i loved how the themes played around with morals. they even touched on bullying. the storytelling is so masterful— the way emotions are expressed without explicitly saying them outright through the composition of the panels and the subtleties in the art
Captain! Is This Battlefield Here?
this is pretty good! i like the fl. she truly does feel like she was previously a woman in the army. she follows her principles to a T. idk why but i just get the ick from the ML. he’s annoying, and his “worry” for her feels ill-disguised. like he knows she strong, BUT she’s still a woman who needs protecting like what??? the romance feels so forced. one of the antagonists, sonia, also seems pathetic to me. she, the og fl, turns out to be two-faced. never would’ve seen that coming in a million years. this is just too fast-paced for my liking, too. i’m not enjoying the story all that much. u can read this on N@VER webtoon, so go there!! the quality is much better there
Yuusha to Maou no Love One-Room
I really liked this! Healthy relationship and an interesting dynamic. Lovely established relationship fluff. There were so many loose ends, though. Like what of Oz? His character as a legendary wizard was revealed and then the author didn’t address any of it. The MC’s brother also came to the human world, but there are no ending comments of whether he’ll go back or not. This manga was a window into their daily lives, but it suddenly cuts off. The mangaka could have written a lot more to wrap up, and it’s a pity they didn’t. The one-shot also feels out of place. When they could have expanded on the present timeline they just decided to thrust us readers into the future where the characters have entirely different occupations and different characters. This story had so much potential the author just couldn’t draw out fully.
