Ch 21, this is a rough read not bc it’s bad but damn it is fustrating. Our FL Is smart and badass but bc of society standards sucking she can’t do anything herself and has to rely on her husband. And Ik he’s gonna go through character development but I still don’t really like him after I saw his hypocrisy come to light. Bc if he was like everyone else who just hated her outwardly that would’ve been better than someone who pretended to be by the FL’s side but inside he looked down on her ugh. Hypocritical bastard. Ik he’ll change but damn. Tbh the red head rival guy who showed up once I feel like he’s probably the better choice for our FL, if he is the second male lead that’s gonna hit hard

Also called The Wild Flower of the Palace on bato ..ch 20, okay I couldn’t read it anymore. I was drawn in by the cover but the story was such a letdown. The only likable character is the FL, but even tho she Carries the story she still can’t make up for the incompetence of all the other characters. We got a flimsy and stupid CRown prince (who seems to be the ML ugh), and naive and pitiful damsel in distress 2nd FL. I do kinda like the 2nc prince and it’s a mad shame he’s not the ML coz he’s so much more competent than the ML ugh. And this story is going on to be so basic where it just centers on the FL having to babysit the ML&2nd FL, and having to save the whole power hungry imperial family who don’t deserve it. If anything I’d rather just see her join sides with the 2nd prince to Destory the imperial family but Ofc she won’t bc the one thing that’s stupid about her is she seems to be in love with the CP ML just bc of a small little thing from their childhood. Bruh she’s literally wasted on that stupid CP. story is such a letdown

Ch 20 (bato) emmmm yea so this story didn’t seem to be anything special to me, the pacing is a bit weird, the ML falls so fast and seemingly for no reason, and one moment the FL’s fake friend is everywhere and then the next moment she’s gone never to show up again like pacing is just so weird. I don’t find myself intrigued to keep reading, I mean the ML is cute coz Ik we like puppy dog MLs but eh other than that nothing about this story really intrigues me

Ch 28, it’s cute but very cliche. And I guess I’ve read so many obsessive Yandere stories that I have a standard now but this ML he’s cute and all but I wouldn’t call him obsessive, he’s devoted sure but idk he doesn’t seem to have those intense yandere tendencies. It’s not tooooo suspenseful so we’ll hold off till this story is complete

Ch 26, honestly Ik he’s falling for the FL rn but damn the crown prince is so unlikable. Literally all mans does is threaten the FL and now he’s suddenly falling for her. And Ik the FL didn’t just call him “kinda sweet” when he carried her once…all he does is continuously threaten to kill her. Like idk everyone in this story is unlikabke except for the kids and the FL…but even the FL is getting on my nerves a little bit, I understand why she gotta act all pitiful to survive but if she ends up actually falling for this bastard prince bc he starts acting “kinda nice” to her after threatening to kill her so many times…that’s gonna piss me the hell off. Eh we’ll see ig but my blood pressure can’t take this and it’s funny bc it’s not even the villains that are fustrating it’s the damn ML and all his damn friends. I don’t even want the FL to end up with anyone..actually maybe that cute blond knight that just showed up, but Ofc even if he’s nice and deserving the ML spot is reserved for the crappy psycho crown prince ugh

Jesus what is with this troupe of girls getting back together with the guys who neglected and threw them away?? “I will divorce my tyrant husband” yea fucking right. From spoilers this is disappointing, the stupid emperor is the ML at the end of the day, and the two faced lotus bitch doesn’t even get proper karma. So like what am I even reading for? And what tf is the FL doing? She was so cool but why tf she blushing like a little girl when the ML just compliments her once?? Girl looks really isn’t all that when he treated you like shit before even tho you didn’t nothing wrong and everything right. I feel so bad for the og person the FL was. She did nothing wrong, and now she gets to see someone else get the love that she worked so hard for. What the fuck. I hate it here. Why cant the FL just actually drop the guy and find someone new and nice? Sigh. And the ML’s excuse that he dropped his original empress was bc she was too naive for the throne is so stupid, bc the other concubine bitch sure she was “cunning” ig scoff, but she literally does not know how to do any of the empress’s real work other than socializing…so you’re telling me the ML really thought hey the concubine is better at being the empress bc she can socialize well instead of the real empress who actually does work for the people? What the actual fuck

Ch 19, yea this story is mid, idk if it’s just bc the translation are kinda wonky…but eh the plot is really cliche is all. Average cliche plot. Average art. So hmmm idkkk not too invested in this rn

Firstly I don’t hate this story for the same reason a lot of reviewers on bato hated this story. Personally Idc that she isn’t “badass” or “looking to get revenge” for her first life, tbh it makes more sense to see her depressed after her traumatic past life. And tbh it very reasonable of her to just want nothing to do with her past family/abusers than get revenge on them. So I actually find her stoic and depressed nature fresh compared to how all the other FLs in these stories suddenly just have a 180 personality change and suddenly get badass after being abused and traumatized. And also maybe I just wanna see more depressed FLs, idk it’s refreshing to see. As for the story tbh if I didn’t know the spoilers I think I would be pretty invested. But I’m also thinking…idk how her family will ever redeem themselves bc Ik “oh they were mind controlled” that’s why they were mean to her…but like idc. Sure even if it’s no fault of their own bc they were mind controlled, but it doesn’t just wash away all the abuse and trauma the FL had to endure at their hands. Same thing can be said about ppl who treat others badly while under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Even tho those ppl weren’t in the right mind, it doesn’t negate the fact they hurt ppl. And the ppl they hurt don’t have to forgive them if they don’t want to. However I do understand if the FL wants to forgive this family but like…I wish she would just say “I forgive y’all but I don’t wanna be in the same space as y’all anymore” bc girl seeing your abusers is traumatic. There are still consequences to their actions and our girl still has nightmares and is traumatized. So I wish honestly she would just get away from that whole family. But ofcccc from spoilers she’s not (Ofc like in all these stories sigh), esp bc apparently the older brother is the ML…which like WHAT THE FUCK. You could’ve fooled me with that one bc in the 26 chs I’ve read so far, they probabaly had like 3 scenes together…whereas the younger brother has mult scenes with the FL and is regularly blushing around the FL…so you would think he’s the ML…but idkkkk apparntly from novel spoilers it’s the older brother so…but damn one of these days I just want the FLs to find a completely new and nice guy and settle down with him, not her abuser from the past sigh. Aside from plot…the art is realy unique. Really pretty, kinda feels like novel art…but it’s ruined by the character ‘s lackluster basic designs I feel. The ML’s family honestly just looks like one guy in different stages of life. The artist really said copy and paste with the dad and sons. Their genes so strong it makes me wonder what the mom even looked like…but she never comes up in the story so like who knows. Would this even be an otome isekai story if the mom wasn’t killed off or missing /s. Anywayssss yea doc with the combination of this whole review…imma just hold off on this story rn. We’ll see how it goes when it’s completed, but imma keep an open mind.

I mean it’s cute and all, I like the FL sometimes but she also annoys me at times too like when she ran away instead of just telling the Duke no. And the ML to me is sooo unlikabke, he’s downright rude to her when she’s making him food. He just commands her to give him food, like idek how she’s falling for him bc tbh imo he’s not even that good looking, the Duke and both the ML’s friends are way better looking than the ML. But alas since only the ML has black haired and he’s a cold powerful knight guy he has to be the ML ugh. He’s so unlikable to me tho. I’d much rather the Duke was the ML tbh. So eh Imma hold off off this story

The only other two characters I like is the 3rd concubine and Sang, the FL’s butler. Tbh I wish he was the ML instead bc damn the emperor is so shit man. I hate him, idk how the author will redeem him, they probabaly won’t but to me he’s so unlikable. And tbh I like the FL and all but that one time when he almost assaulted her and thinking back on it she blushed and thought he was gentle..LIKE BITCH WTF. GENTLE??? Ugh. She musta lost her damn mind there for a second. Anywayssss I’m just waiting for her to get revenge on her family now, honestly I feel like this is one of those stories where I’m more interested in seeing how it ends then actually being him for the journey buttt we’ll seee
