First, remind yourself that they are not all out to getcha, it is just paranoia. Second try to focus on something more specific than gender, like a moustache, or a certain cologne, that makes them bad. If you make your image of a bad guy detailed enough, you will significantly lower your chance of being triggered. Or, get some professional help $$$......   2 reply

I've been living alone for about 3 years now, just turned 21 last month. and the first year was probably the worst lifestyle. I ate maybe once every 3 days, I didnt sleep at all (a few hours between my shifts and lecture), and I when I had free time I rotted in bed and indulged in reading/watching. I can't help you much with the safety questions as I am not a woman, and for sure there are others with more relevant advice to give you on that.
