I haven't myself personally, but after watching a lot of videos and I mean a LOT of videos about tattoos and piercings, everyone recommends you do it with a needle rather than a gun. But that's just my 2 cents ;P I would watch videos and do more research on your own then come to your own conclusion! Either way, I hope things go smoothly for you (......   1 reply

Never ever get piercings done with a piercing gun, they can be incredibly damaging for your skin! those guns can cause trauma to your skin and irritate the hell out of the punctioning. piercing guns do not use needles to pierce the skin, they just use whatever stud you want to have, which have rounded ends and just get forced into and through your ......   reply

I got all my eight piercings on my ear with a gun. I got them at a cheap, unprofessional place when I was underage. Even though I did not have problems with them afterwards, I would always recommend getting your piercings professionally done with a needle. A piercing is a hole in your body and when you get it you inflict a wound to yourself. It m......   reply

Please, please go to a piercer and get your piercings done with a needle. Like pervious posts have said there is less trauma to the ear and it will heal faster. Another thing is that using a piercing gun leaves you more likely get an infection. Although you can change the needle of the gun you can’t completely sterilize the gun. With any piercing......   1 reply

I got 2 cartilage piercings done with a gun. It didn't hurt that much and it seemed like it was healing pretty well, so I kinda let the cleanings slide after a few weeks. As a result I got an infection from one of them, which was one of the worst pains in my life. I don't know if that was the result of the gun or just me being a dumbass.   1 reply

I had my nose pierced with a needle, I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT recommend you getting any piercing, besides earlobe with a gun, really! And doing it with a professional is way more secure, because they know where not to pierce, and the environment and tools are clean, etc. Both I and my sister had our noses pierced, I started with a stud and her with a r......   reply

I wouldn't recommend to pierce ANY part of the body with a gun. When I was younger, even nose piercings were done with guns at the jewelry shops- and I was dumb and not informed enough to let them do this to me, also on my lobes. None of these gun-shotted piercings lasted. Even now, from time to time, the area tends to various problems, such as ski......   reply

Yes, I did. I got my helix piercing by having it done via gun. It was no pleasant experience.... Initially, I had absolutely no issues at all. Piercing it didn't hurt (but then again, my pain level is something...). For the first 6 weeks or so, it was pretty okay. But after that, I had so many infections, it was no joke. I still kept the piercing a......   reply
