First Ever Breakup

We broke up, y'all... It didn't work, after 2 years together.

He needed more of my time, said he felt alone and abandoned. I did what was possible for me, and I'm not in a place to compromise things for him, even if he's the one I still love. I am building my future, catching every opportunity in my way, trying to finish college and doing an internship.

But yeah, I was aways exhausted, and our relationship being long distance didn't help.
He also said I lack emotion intelligence.

He was my first boyfriend, my first time, my first love, and most important, my best friend.
Im gonna miss our time together on phone calls every evening. But for now I gotta work on my future and myself.

Hello. My boyfriend of almost two years just broke up with me today and I really don't know what to do. I am so in love with him and I he said he kind of just loves me as a friend rather than a girlfriend. There was a lot more to the story and he really is such a good guy, but I am so lost. He still wants to be friends, and of course I still want him in my life, but I just don't think I'll ever stop loving him. I know he still cares about me, but I feel like this decision was just so quick. I think maybe he didn't think it through? We are only 18, I get it but I just want him back. He was the only person who made me happy. Please send in some advice. I am truly lost on what to do and if/how I should get him back. Thank you so much.
