Word bisexual was used to indicate a person who is not strictly attracted to a sigle gender. However, when that word entered the use it was still widely thought that the gender is binary: you can be either a man or a woman hence "bi" in the word. Nowadays we know that gender is not binary and the existence of trans, interxes, non binary, agender.........   reply

People always think bisexuality meant attraction to 2 genders because theres the "bi" in front of it which is why pansexuality was created. I’m not very knowledgeable on the subject either but this is what I heard Bi is when your attracted 2 or more genders meaning you liking 2 genders is the minimum but you can also like more kinda like having a preference while Pan is being attracted to all genders but not really caring about gender, and Omni is also being attracted to all genders......   reply
