leaving my comment here so that i get notified when someone leaves recs (sorry ) i've been trying to read gl more too (completed 2 so far) and straight romance but it sure is a bit difficult to get used to. as a woman myself (who doesn't want any romance or sex in my life), i don't like how i end up unintentionally self-inserting simply bc i share......   1 reply

Ngl I question myself this evertime and I think the reason why they choose them young is because of the power imbalance or the want to control. Kids are naive and easily get manipulated while most adults or on a legal age knows more and can't easily be controlled.
