I found out that i was gay at a very young age. i had a crush on an asian boy and i just thought that all males liked males but later i found out that homophobia exists. and not only did i find out i was gay i also found out im obssessed with asians.   1 reply

I mean there wasn't really a time I figured out I was gay or that I accepted it? I just like at one point I think in middle school I saw this really cute boy and thought something like "damn. I was 12 years old when I knew something was wrong. My classmates liked certain girls. But I did not find one of those girls nice. It really bothered me for two years. Actually knew a few same gender couples but I found myself befriending them like usual. As long as there's no overly passionate PDA. I even hate hetero couple who excessively display their affection. with my friends it was easy i just let them know and they took some time to accept it and stop seeing me and being in love with every girl ive ever laid my eyes on but,,,,,,, i stopped being friends with a lot of them and with my current group i cant remember a time when i wasnt out.

as for my family, i just told my sister i was dating a girl she thought was my friend and she asked for all the details as sisters do. shes probably always known i was gay. with my mum it was more like, my girlfriend told her parents and they freaked out and she was gonna stay with me but her parents demanded that either i tell my mum or they do. so i told her the reason my "friend" got kicked out was because i was dating her. she said theres worse things i could be and hugged me and took my sister, me and my girlfriend on a roadtrip so id stop being so upset.

i wish i wasnt forced to come out to my mum because i never thought id have to come out to her id just bring a girl home one day and thatd be that. but its whatever, i still cry a little when i think about how much pain i went through that day. i wish id let them tell her because shed totally have sided with me.
