I do it without thinking I just bite them unconsciously and when my nails are short again that's when i notice I've been doing this habit ever since i was little and i haven't been able to stop Usually happens when i'm bored or watching something scary Or my parents arguing Or after my mom shouting at me Either way its all just a force of habit   reply

if i'm distressed or agitated i'll bite em. there's literally no thought to it. sometimes i just realize i'm doing it and i have to stop myself. i wore acrylics as a way to get me to stop biting them and it actually helped a lot. at first it was hard to stop bc it was a bad habit but now i don't bite them as often as before. and abt the gagging and......   reply
