i just...dont understand the concept of having a celebrity crush. you know thats not what theyre actually like, right? it's a public image and you dont know them in real life, so how can you have a crush?

and im not explicitly talking about things like kpop fandoms, although i dont understand those either. how can people like someone when all they see is whatever image the celeb decides to have?
