The lack of color reasoning always gives me a good giggle lol. That's fine tho, to each their own. I still hope you'll find that one manga that changes your mind and makes u wanna explore more, bcs it's a VAST and very diverse medium since it got a head start probably a century before manhwa, and especially webtoons.   reply

I don't hate it but I do prefer colored stories, the black and white hurts my eyes, also in my experience mangas are wayy slower paced than other formats, funny. I only check out manga when it's highly praised, I usually can't stick around when the colorless shading gets confusing and I have to scroll down a whole page cause of the text on the left......   reply

I find the switch between webtoon format and manga format very disorienting. Also because every language I speak and write has left to right format, so reading manga is naturally uncomfortable, especially on the phone..the panels are too small and dialogues bubbles are too small to read too, sound effects are smaller. Also not a fan of panel inside......   1 reply

I personally like mangas regardless of genre, I just like their anatomy and proportions more and it's visually pleasing to look at ╮(￣▽￣)╭ sure sometimes I just don't know what even is going on in a manga panel because it's not full-colored or anything, but some mangas have interesting plots that might pique someone's interest. contrary to your thoughts, they're not fast paced at all! you're just conditioned to reading manhwas with fast scrolling and long and woopery pages, compared to manga's slow scrolling and compact but short pages! between these two medias, you can already see the difference and the mode of audience they're appealing to. ehh it depends on preferences, i like both. they have their pros and cons. sometimes, i don't wanna look at color, sometimes, i don't wanna look at monochrome. sometimes, i wanna read a lengthy story, sometimes, i wanna read something short. what i prefer depends on what i'm looking for at the time ╮(￣▽￣)╭   reply
