Mistaken sexuality?

I talk about my OTPs quite a lot, so I'm not surprised that my mother thinks I'm gay.(￣∇￣") She comes up to be talking about how her new show has a lesbian pair now, and said "You like that their gay, right?". I mean, nothing wrong with being gay, but I just don't feel comfortable knowing my mother really doesn't understand my sexuality!╮(￣▽￣)╭

Anyways, how did you deal with it? This isn't limited to just straights mistakes for gays, but it's for everyone! How did you explain, please tell me.... ( T﹏T )

I'm ace and aro ^^ All of my friends know that I'm ace and aro, that's one of the first things I tell them (once they're drunk of course). I do that because I know that it decreases the chances of a friend wanting to date me ( = losing said friend). Unfortunately it wasn't enough with one of my friends, who first thought I was a lesbian-in-hiding....... reply
