I am 42 and I have only one advice: Do not idealise anything! Do not idealise love, marriage, religion, politics, your career, your children etc... We are all humans and everyone will fail at some point. I often see ppl with lofty ideals and when those ideals come crashing down, some never recover and to this day hold grudges. I see parents who pla......   2 reply

I'm 44, so I'll add my 2c here. Take chances. Make mistakes. Fail. And learn from all of it. The caveat, of course, is that there is a limit to how epically one can fail and still not have life suck big purple fuzzy donkey balls for the rest of your life. But no one succeeds at everything they do. (Even Steve Jobs and Bill Gates, I promise!) E......   2 reply

34 Years old here. My advice is... life is short and waits for no one. So even if you think on the future, don't just wait looking at your life happening. Enjoy the opportunities life brings to you and don't leave things for "later". If you have someone you hold dear, tell them. At my age you will probably have experienced already the loss of someo......   reply

i'm 31 years old. There are many good answer to this question.. some of my advices are written for others persons already, so i'll say 2 that i want to add or emphasize: 1- Do what you want to do. But i'm not speaking only about dreams, i'm talking about all your choices. Dont let others provoke you; dont listen to all the advices/suggestion/etc yo......   2 reply

Since when is 21 older? You’re barely able to wipe your own ass at 30. Okay advice. Quit being such righteous a**holes when you have almost no life experience   4 reply

Hm. It's hard to find universal advice, but (38 years), these are probably the top things I've noticed, that might be helpful: 1) Give yourself permission to fail or be embarrassed. We tend to catastrophise and internalise the feeling of failing or being embarrassed. It doesn't mean you won't feel embarrassed if you offer a response in class and i......   1 reply

I think most of the great advises have already been said, so I'll just say DO NOT PLAY MMORPGs, at least not until you retire and need something to do, because they will steal so much of your time when you get hooked. I have wasted thousands of hours each in a few of them, and that's time I'll never get back. The first MMORPG I ever played, which......   reply

Hi! I'm 27 this year. Best advice? Well, this might be presumptuous of me since I am not really that old yet and I am still in the middle of figuring out my life as well but the best advice would be to take your time and enjoy life. It doesn't matter if people around you become more successful now, or excel academically, or if they get promoted to......   1 reply

Age 39. Money does not buy happiness. A big house is meaningless if you are never home to enjoy it. Working endlessly at a job you hate to pay for nice things is not going to fullfil you. Also, never let someone else's expectations design your life. Don't let someone else choose your major or your career or your spouse or when you have kids. Those......   1 reply

I’m currently 22. There were times I thought I had everything together but then I realized just a little friction to my own ideals (of my parents, my boss and work colleagues and relationships) easily wretches me into slight depression. How I came out of that mess was: - Love myself more: Stay true to your morale. If you don’t know what values......   reply
