My very first manga and anime was given to me by my mom for Christmas when I was in 4th grade. It was called Azumanga Dioh. I had watched other anime before that (Inuyasha, Naruto, Bleach, Tokyo Mew Mew), but they were just cartoons to me. That was the first manga and anime that I understood it as such.
