tropes / plot u don't like

honestly i'm not even sure if i don't like it but;

when mc likes someone, and they've known each other since high school. then mc knows he can't be together with his crush because the guy he likes is straight. then the one mc likes always have an older brother brother and usually 3++ years older. so then when the mc decides to stop the one sided crush because yk can't be together and stuff, the older brother would now come up (usually the ML) and woo MC and say he liked MC for years and was jealous of his own brother cuz ut wasn't him. time skip, they get together

;_; I DONT THINK I HATE IT BUT LIKEE, i always feel that MC only got together with the ML because yk he looks like the one sided crush MC had for years
