also, pedophilia is a mental disorder, so it's not exactly... as simple as that.
as for underage assault, they're easier to control; easy to manipulate, horny as hell usually, and have no long-term consequences in their brain - perfect target if they want to unleash their inner 'I'm-soooo-desperate'......
