When the author wants to ship two of the same gender, but refuses to have BL/GL, so instead genderbend one of them so it becomes a heterosexual relationship.
It's harmless of course, however if I want to read SasukexNaruto fanfic then I want THEM not OC-Naruko/Sasuko.
