I personally didn't have as much as a reaction due to the fact that my mom watched anime and read manga before I was born. This made me honestly quite neutral to it until my mom made me watch animes like sailor moon or mermaid melody at the age of 5 or 6 and ever since then I've been casually watching anime and reading manga
