about MC: Ju ha (game @: kazel) one of those top ranked player, good looking, easy going, gentle + quite soft spoken person. sadly he’s too positive (read as: somewhat pushover lol) in this novel and that got him backstabbed hard by his own guild members.

about ML: Seonyul (game @: melody), older than kazel, he’s rich rich, handsome of course, playful as he loves to tease kazel a lot, easy going but strict and firm once he made his decision and he’s the guild master/leader of his own guild. was known as “terrifying” in game by other players as he can make people quit the game if they messed with him (he did it in the past so he’s well known) very pro in game as a healer (he’s top ranked player as well afaik he’s #1).

summary: kazel just wanted to do an in game quests but was doomed when he just got to know about the quest rules after he arrived at the place. he can’t solo inside, it has to be 2, 3 or 5 team-players so he waited outside for his guild members but oh well he’s a ranked player not for nothing so they actually far behind him that it resulted in him waiting there alone, chilling for hours.

after that, melody arrived at that place and both of them stuck bcs they can’t solo. yk the drill, melody finally invited kazel to be his duo team and kazel was awkward at first bcs his guild actually was in a cold blooded war with melody’s guild.

though kazel didn’t join the past fight, he was somewhat embarrassed bcs it was his bad tempered guild members that initiated the fight against melody’s guild members. melody knew that kazel didn’t get involved so that’s why he still invited kazel. they cleared the quest, aced it and boom, next game announcement said that players selected team on that quest has to remain the same for the next quest as well so they’re stuck tgt as a team and things got hectic from there.

i have to say, this novel is actually pretty hard for me to keep going lmaoo if you expect a full romance here, just forget it~ ^^ 90% of this novel is them in game which means there’s a lot of in game dramas (fight between teammates, guild wars, game quests and so on) and the scenes where they actually irl is so so little, barely 10% imo ㅠㅠ

i think the author is really a game addict or something bcs they wrote the game details here like crazy (remember when i said 90% of this novel is in game scenes? yeah, fact.) that it’s actually somewhat boring in the second half and that’s shocking tho bcs i have read other games genre novel and it’s not half as bad as this one.

not saying this one is *that* bad either, it’s just…bland. nothing special, no wow moment for me, the way they solved the drama is meh as well nothing gave me goosebumps or what, no shocking plot twist, even their in game scenes were not that (sigh) fun to read but i have to respect the author for those detailed game explanations ^^7

the romance scenes is actually somewhat sudden? it doesn’t built up that well, it just happened like “oh melody like kazel now? ….since when tho”) and for kazel i was more like “ah so he likes melody too now? sure but how?” their romance advanced like very naturally (it’s still slow burn tho) that i even forget how did they fall for each other lololo probably due to those long ass game scenes as well that i actually forgot romance exists in this novel.

but i have to say one obvious thing that has been bugging me when i read their “romance” arc, the way i read both korean raws and english translation seems clear that the author simply wanted to write a non serious in game novel, that’s it.

bcs it feels like it just them sprinkling some bromance in there just for the sake of BL or yaoi tags instead of actually writing a pure gay romance if yk what i mean. bcs the gay romance here is so so mild and like i said, it’s somewhat sudden as well and even them being lovey dovey irl came out awkwardly written for me. feels like they suited more as bromance/close friends characters here rather than yaoi, sorry for those readers who enjoy this ㅠㅠ

i’ve read plenty of Shounen-ai novels btw but notice how i still mention these characters suited bromance more and not Shounen-ai? yeah, bcs they’re that awkward.

nsfw side story is nothing special as well, typical “i’m your first” experiences. still bland.

if you got enough time to kll and time to waste, you can read this one! i’ll give it an honest 4/10. the thing that keep me going is just my nosy ass who wanted to know what happen to the whole guild drama and that’s it (and i’m not surprised to say that i did put some high expectations on melody and others to solve the drama, only for it to be solved……in a bland way as well.)
