About MC (Jungjoon - beta) : older bottom, a single dad, a depressed kind of mc bcs tbh he’s going through a lot. his wife died in an accident. he’s an orphan and came from the same place as ML.

About ML (Yoonhae - alpha) : younger top, morally ambiguous character, he’s just mentally ill and got through sm as well. a rich “director”. i kinda want to defend him but seeing how he always resolved his problems by r@ping MC, i have to hold myself back.

summary: MC stumbled on ML randomly on street and when ML talked to him, he simply said that he dk who ml is (their reunion is like 17 years later). both of them came from an orphanage and both of them were treated badly at that place but ML had it even bad. yk the drill, ML comeback just to make MC his again after years and he did JUST that, all throughout the novel.

spoilers and TW as well, this is some dark and heavy angst shit, it’s not something that you should read in the daylight or lightly. there’s a lot of SA inside and MC even got hurt down there BADLY, that’s how bad it is. honestly this novel started off pretty well, i like the suspense of the plot and i like mc’s kid (ian) but what makes me kinda exhausted with it is how the author dragged the “mystery” plot toooooo much.

that point aside, i geddit that certain things was meant to be “unfold” later but some scenes are kinda unnecessary and each chapters are long tho (and this novel got 24 chapters). 1 chapter can make you scowl in disgust, giggling for the cuteness (again, ian) and sad for each character. so even 1 chapter is a lot, i have to take a few hours break in between bcs it was heavy indeed. oh but the omegaverse in this wasn’t the main point tho, it’s just subgenders topic so you won’t see some slick or knot lol. just some mention of pheromones, alpha, beta, omega here and there, that’s it.

i agree with some comments online that said this novel fell off right towards the end, it built up like crazy that you think none of them are going to get a happy ending and all of them will just d word but then it’s abruptly changed and twisted?? i was like “oh….oh well, that’s something” when i got to the end bcs it started off good! ㅠㅠ kinda unfortunate that it doesn’t stay consistent towards the end, it got really boring like 5 chapters before ending.

from what i’m seeing, the first 5 chapters are mystery, and 10 until the end is just full with non con stuff. we legit went back and forth with them going at it btw. of course there’s con moment too but non con outweighs it. for this type of genre, it doesn’t faze me but still leave a bitter taste in my mouth ig bcs of how bad it is. ML is really just a dog in heat.

imo, i honestly kinda blame MC too for shaping ML into….wtv that is when he grown up. ML was someone who’s really unloved when he was like 5 y/o and he just needed attention, we all know it’s the age where kids just wanted to be pampered.

i understand ML’s situation but putting the big responsibility on MC when he was barely older than ML (3 years older) is not it either. it’s just….i hope MC handled it better and not just abandoned ML just like that.

i was honestly so disappointed when he chose to run away from the orphanage when ML was having a high fever (he timed it btw, he thought that it would be good to leave ML while he was sick), he took ML’s piggy money (ML deadass saved these money to use it in future to LIVE with MC, that’s just fucking sad) when he got desperate after his own saved money got stolen and run away alone, got married while ML self destructed himself for years.

of course both of them were at fault tho, i did got creeped out by ML’s behavior since he was a kid as well but MC simply didn’t handle the problem better either. he brushed off ML’s weird behavior like it’s nothing important and that fueled in them kinda having a minor x minor relationship for years, it’s kinda creepy. that’s why i said i hoped MC handled ML better and not lead him into….that. it is one sided on ML tho but still oh well.

i have to say, MC destroyed ML’s life when they were kids and ML comeback to destroy MC’s life when they’re adult. they kinda fit eo like that lmao. both of their personalities irk me tf out, like i said both of them are to blamed and neither of them are “better” than one another.

i gave this a 4/10, (originally it’s 3/10 but i add 1 point for the ending :3) bcs it did got boring in the middle and more than half of those chapters filled with them destroying eo by SA, violence and childish fights. spent 2 days reading this! ^^
