this keeps clawing at my brain
Smth that always has me looking sideways at SOME fans of popular media is how they treat certain characters in the same story.
like examples I can think of are.
Endeaver and Dabi - some of y'all genuinely think Dabi has the excuse to be a mass murderer and endeavour is a worse human being then him. (I'm not an endeavour apologist, I hate that man but I hate dabi slightly more) which is so bizarre......
Noaya and sukuna/mahito - all of these characters need to die but I can't listen to someone, with a straight face, tell me naoya is a more evil character then sukuna. Everytime I hear that bullshit its always("ohh Naoya realistically evil")The nga can fucking run so fast we can see his impact frames what thr hell is realistic about his clan focused sexism in a modern day Japan). the people who believe sukuna hates everyone equally are some of thr dumbest people I have ever seen in my life.
Sakura and sasuke - mf they were both wilding ill be honest but the shit sasuke gets away with is absolutely absurd??? yeah sakura was an annoying peice of work all of Naruto and some of Shippuden but like sasuke was worst stuff for no good reason just like sakura.
Honestly I'm starting to notice y'all have conditioned yourself to not see murder as smth bad anymore and SOME of y'all think sexism/bullying is worse. (They're all bad alright they're all bad. I don't need a comment missing my point and telling me that these problems can coexist because i know that already.
Depends on what hits closer to home, ig. When do stories actually bother showing the aftermath of a murder, like the people left behind, the life unfulfilled, etc? For most I read, it feels like killing off npcs in a videogame.
Ppl react to murder if they actually care about the charas being killed off. One piece killing ace off was heart-wrenchin......
