I love reading about stories where everything goes wrong, say, a favourite character of mine gets hurt bad, or maybe, my favourite character end up alone in a tiny rundown apartment. Some of the best examples I have in published literature classics are 'The Secret History' by Donna Tartt, and 'No Longer Human' by Osamu Dazai.
