I grew up in a house that was a whore house for the railroad in the 1800's to the early 1900's. It was also a make-shift morgue if needed. I just want to not this wasn't a city this was a town that died when the railroad left. My great-grandfather even worked at the "hotel" when he was a teenager in the 1910's/1920's.
