opinions on seme protagonist in BL?

I find I prefer seme protagonist and whenever I'm looking for a danmei novel to read, the primary criteria I need met before I start searching is a seme protagonist tag.

I'm pretty sure seme protagonist isn't as common as uke protagonist, but what do you guys think if it was? If the seme/top was made as the main character more often? Where they are the character the audience sticks with and follows, roots for because they know their story and/or started with them first, or made to be relatable or likeable as they are the main characters. Or a lot of interesting concepts get imagined with them being the main protagonists.

What do you guys think if semes were portrayed like that or put into that role more often? Would it be different and a good kind of different?

I think it would be good so I get more seme protagonist stories heheh.

Honestly it depends. Semes are so often written to be boring as shit and just good looking guys with big dicks i fear reading from their pov might be as boring as watching paint dry 1 reply

i don't notice much of a difference honestly, but i like it when they reveal the pov of seme in later chapters about the interactions with uke where from ukes pov we don't know what seme is thinking, so when we get to know it later it's interesting....idk if that makes sense...but most of the bls i read both of the male leads have almost equal scre...... 1 reply

I like them sometimes more as mc , I still prefer mc as bottoms but sometimes when the MC is a top, they have more personality. The way they freak out and just THAT TROPE this one i love it so so so much when the tops do this whole sparkling. Idk something about when this is done on bottoms, they're so beautiful. reply
