opinions on seme protagonist in BL?

I find I prefer seme protagonist and whenever I'm looking for a danmei novel to read, the primary criteria I need met before I start searching is a seme protagonist tag.

I'm pretty sure seme protagonist isn't as common as uke protagonist, but what do you guys think if it was? If the seme/top was made as the main character more often? Where they are the character the audience sticks with and follows, roots for because they know their story and/or started with them first, or made to be relatable or likeable as they are the main characters. Or a lot of interesting concepts get imagined with them being the main protagonists.

What do you guys think if semes were portrayed like that or put into that role more often? Would it be different and a good kind of different?

I think it would be good so I get more seme protagonist stories heheh.
