one of my cats is deaf and resorts to meowing loudly whenever she comes into contact with the outside world, the other is a total coward who ran away to hide under some narrow space last time she found herself outside, and the last one is too aware/sensitive to her surroundings to be put outside where there's relatively a lot going on all at once........
