During adolescence,is attraction to the same gender normal?

I'm a female and in my teens. For like about a year I randomly started liking my bff. I usually grow out of crushes after a while but I've liked her for about an year. When I'm with her I don't get like butterflies or feel nervous but alone I imagine holding and bl scenes with each other. I once read that you might have feelings for the same gender during teens but often outgrow them as u grow up so I don't know. ╥﹏╥
