Definitely I will never read Kiraide Isasete. I see it pop up a lot and I am a bit curious, but it’s also full of kids (i think the couple has 3?) and I don’t care for kids in my stories. I understand the first kid was a product of rape, but the characters are like 23 and they have two more kids I believe. I don’t know the reasoning for the ......   reply

Off the top of my head, the only one I can remember is this hentai where the girls were amputated to be made into “furniture”. Also anything by Oyster. Their hentais are pretty messed-up. Back in my early days of fandom, I liked reading some pretty disturbing things, not so much anymore.   2 reply

Uh yaoi is a sub-genre of shojo. It’s always been written for women, primarily by women. So long story short, yaoi was meant for straight women to enjoy. Maybe you can point those people on Twitter to look up the history of yaoi.   reply

No. 6 I really like the manga and novels, but hated the changes the anime made to the story. I’m hoping with the new novels coming out, and with everything being remarked or rebooted, that they make a proper adaptation.   2 reply

The romance genre in general has always been problematic, but that’s what people want to read. I’ve been reading manga/wha/hua for a little over 20 years so I’ve seen my share of popular stuff that were absolute shit. Also, some of the ones that are popular now are actually a bit older, only they didn’t get an adaptation until recently (ex......   reply

I read it for the sex mainly, not to look for ways to be offended. In short, I enjoy reading BL in general and if there happens to be a series the rubs me the wrong way, I drop it, simple as that. As the saying goes, different strokes for different folks. I may like a series you don’t; life goes on. BTW, I’m asexual.   1 reply

Whatshisface from Jinx. I’ve not read the story so it’s not like I’m hating because of it, only that I keep seeing comments say the story is shit but the art is super nice and I just don’t see it. It’s not bad, but it’s also not the be all, end all. I honestly think BJ Alex had better designs.   reply

I’ve always been single and I don’t think that’s going to change. I’m just not interested in romance. It also has to do with the fact I’m lithromantic.   reply

I think if you want to introduce someone to BL, try any of Nagisa Furuya’s stories. They’re short and sweet. My faves of hers are https://www.mangago.me/read-manga/hoshi_dake_ga_shitteru/ https://www.mangago.me/read-manga/gunjou_no_subete/   reply

Woo boy... I didn't think I was that stupid as a kid until I go back and read my diaries/journals then I cringe. Anyway, one particular cringe-y moment I remember clearly was back in 6th grade ( so I was about 11) and this girl in my class said that she had paid the kid I had a crush on $5 to date her when they were 5th graders. So I was very curio......   1 reply

Blood is thicker than water, but that saying doesn’t mean what people think it means, so… If your family is shit, let them be and DONT help them out. Go live your life. Ignore the toxic people. I probably won't be much help, but in my younger days I kinda felt a little like that. I wondered if there was something wrong with me, or if I was broken. It wasn't until college that I realized I was asexual and so my worries went away. I'm not saying that's your case, but at 21 I had no experience and over 10 years later I still don't. Sometime......   reply

Id like a more faithful adaptation of No. 6. The manga did. Decent job of squeezing 9 novels into 9 manga volumes. The anime did some (to me) unnecessary changes to some pivotal scenes. Overall, I hated the anime, but love the novels and manga and would like to see this reanimated better. Also would like to see Fruits Basket Another be animated. I......   2 reply

Semi-religious. If you ask, I’ll tell you I’m a bad Catholic, but I have no plans on changing religion or dropping it altogether. Other than me saying I’m Catholic though, I’m not very religious at all.   1 reply
