I mean sure hair is there to trap bacteria or whatever, but it comes out more in those areas after puberty because of an increase in hormones. One of the reasons for me, is to see guys be so tender with each other, and so affectionate. It's adorable. It's cuz guys are always told to be super manly and not show emotion and all that, so something like yaoi is so refreshing. Of course, this is also why I like shounen ai, or even non-romantic bromances.

I don't either. I prefer waiting until it's completed before I read it. And sometimes, I still don't read it because I'm too lazy to read like 8 volumes. I tend to stick to 2 volumes max, unless I realllly love it and it's more fluff than drama. 2 reply

I found Minami Haruka's works when I was 12/13. But I didn't really get totally immersed into yaoi until I was like 15. I credit Interval for being my first real yaoi, since I actually really liked the story and that's when I first became aware of yaoi as a genre. I'm 22 now, so it's been some years. reply
Not really no, I often try to distance myself from the fujoshi label, as it does have negative connotations. And just like you, I don't really ship characters like my other fujoshi friends.
