I am a self proclaimed fujoshi. But my definition of fujoshi is the Japanese version. That a fujoshi is just a woman who enjoys M/M stories. This whole "fujoshi's are terrible people who fetishize gay men" is an American concept. Yes, of course there are bad fujoshis who give the rest of us a bad name and reputation. I think the danger lies in people not recognizing or acknowledging the fact that yaoi is ultimately porn. I've had people on this very site tell me that it is art or a story when I argued that yaoi is porn and that all porn fetishizes sex, regardless of gender or sexual orientation. When my son was only 2 years old, I had to travel with him from NC to CA, by myself. And of course the gate to the connecting flight was all the way across the other side of a big ass airport.
