Okay, since I'm a fan, have to ask: In your native language/literature classes, do you learn and read William Shakespeare's original works or the modernized English versions? What are your favorite words/phrases invented by him?   3 reply

It depends on the story. Both have their good points, but I prefer 3rd, because I can see the 'bigger picture' and see more details since the perspective is further away and more detached/objective, when it's in 1st it's much more one-sided and subjective.   reply

In case you're really curious, people use 'luv' because it sounds cute to them, or they got used to cutting corners when writing, or they have a fear of using the word 'love' as it sounds too serious/burdening, or they want to portray an accent, or they use it as terms of endearment, etc. Yep, I answered too seriou......   reply
