The whole thing is dumb to me. I’m a writer, and including sensitive themes and dark messages is often necessary. It’s a way to 1. get a reaction from the reader, 2. make the reader want to root for the character, thus continue reading it, and 3. make a story more interesting and gripping. (Of course, in some cases, a plot point isn’t needed.......   2 reply
