Imo strong is not complex. You could have an utterly pathetic MC who is a bitch and still be complex. I personally don't really agree that a complex character is always strong, nor is a strong character always complex. I wouldn't keep the baby, but for a different reason... If I kept the baby and I died, then that would leave my baby with my so.
