Hi friends and foes! <3 I'm doing a project about loneliness and isolation. I want to know what loneliness is like for you. What does it feel like for you? How do you try to cope with it? Why are you lonely? Basically anything about your experience with loneliness I want to hear it. Isolation as well if you've felt that way before. I think we've got access to more people than ever before but somehow we're only growing lonelier. But, I've only existed as myself so who knows. I'd love to know your thoughts.

I have a very specific question for people who have never ever had a mother or mother-like figure but I don't know where to find one so i thought i'd gamble for a motherless friend on here. Basically I've heard that people get some weird reaction when they hear a child yell for their mom like they get a weird paternal instinct. I grew up with a single father and have never yelled for a mom in my life and I don't feel any sort of paternal instinct or anything at all hearing a kid yell for their mom. I'd probably turn around just cause I'd think it's cute they want their mom. Is that because I never had a mom or am i a freak? I'm really curious basically if this is a learned trait i never learned because I've never yelled for a mom or if it's something we're built in with that I just happened to not be built with. Also for my motherful friends, what does it feel like? is it the same feeling as hearing a kid yelling for help or is it different?


I hope this doesn't come across as trauma dumping I had a great time growing up with my dad and never felt the need for a mom because I never had one in the first place. Me and my dad are super close and I am grateful my biological mother wasn't in the picture because of her issues.
