Honestly, a heat would be waaaaay better. Although a period would be better to deal with socially, it's such a waste to go through the process. Taking pills, instead of frequenting the bathroom just to throw away some bloody pad and use another one, is something I would find pretty easy. The horny part is just another benefit.
