I'm of adult age. I think I'm barely still a young adult. I do have a job lined up for after I graduate. I want to get into the legal industry, my job will be in the healthcare industry tho. It's complaint handling for the NHS.

My family is also like that but it might be more of an ego thing than a saving face. You're not supposed to go around "airing dirty laundry" and you're supposed to give the impression that everything is perfect or even better than other people.
