Yeah I would also like manga like that - where it's actually about acceptance and friendship more than romance. The only one that I know of is Ike Reibuns's Ani no Hanashi. It's more of a familial acceptance though. I just wish there's more manga that would explore the feeling of sincerity and tolerance to those who are different.
I hope they don't end up together and this becomes a manga about friendship and accepting yourself. But it would also not be too bad when they would become a couple. Isn't there a manga where they are just friends and the hetero helps the gay friend to accept him and his sexuality?
