The Pheromone thing is like a dance. Alpha releases pheromone to attract and turn on the omega (or omegas?) (or I guess in this case to make them go into heat). Then omega in heat (or turned on) in turn releases pheromones to attract the alpha. And so their mating dance is complete. Each affecting the other. This dance continues until the rut/heat has run its course. This also fuels the desire of the alpha to mark the omega, and for the omega to be desirous of being marked. Ultimately ending in pregnancy, since the purpose of an alpha and omega is to breed like animals, and that's what Ian hates the most. But unfortunately he got marked and didn't wanted it while Noah secretly did. But both didn't know that Noah had manifested and was turned on by a rutting alpha, and Noah hadn't known Ian was in heat cuz he had never (ever?) seen an alpha going into heat before. .
I understand that's what he thought, I'm saying that it's because he thinks like that, that I'm on seme's side. If you equate not wanting to be in a relationship with a childless person to not wanting a relationship with your own already existing child, then I don't like you. How is this selfishness when ml clearly said that he doesn't want any relationship he clearly call off their FWB relationship and doesn't want to see mc again then how do you expect that he would have told him about anything. I don't think mc is at fault here because he acted according to the situation.

The only issue I have with your statement is you are kinda forgetting that the Alpha TARGETED the beta-> omega. That’s a Dominate Alpha - and considering how these recent chapters are going the ML is very socialable and very much not an idiot. Considering he’s a dominate Alpha pretty much means this guy can have almost whoever he wants soooo WHY target an innocent virgin Beta. You have to realize the Alpha knew exactly what he’s doing—- I mean even I know that you can easy say No strings attached BUT the alpha had to put in a lot of unnecessary work if all he wanted was a FWB — it’s kinda counter productive —- what I am saying is I DO NOT hate the Alpha, but what ended happening is kind of entirely he’s fault because HE the Alpha went after forbidden fruit, he should have kept the beta as a friend and never crossed the line..
Again let me state again I do not hate the Alpha- I just have the opposite feelings that you have about him. ALSO I think the author is not giving us enough details I’m pretty sure there is an entire back story behind this alpha that we learn in the coming chapters. I also believe the alpha did have feelings for the beta unless he is one of those guys that wants to take V cards even though it might mentally mess up the other person once he dumps them when he gets bored …….
To continue what I said earlier the MC never knew he was even a recessive omega he went to the alpha house to simply return something because they would never see each other again- what happened afterwards wasn’t under anyone’s real control- also the MC once he realizes what’s gonna happen, he tries to run away but to no avail. Bringing up my previous point you have to cut the MC slack because the alpha started this entire mess for going after an innocent timid guy, breaking down the MC walls and sleeping with him.
So what you're basically saying is that the seme is an asshole, to which I 100% agree. And yeah, I get the whole "he played with my innocent heart so now i deserve some compensation", the uke really shoud be more angry than pitiful about how he was treated, I just can't get over the fact that the seme wasn't given a choice in whether he wants to be a father to his kid or not. Also, I too think the seme's backstory will explain why he went after him. My prediction is that he didn't like omegas because of something in his past, like getting taken advantage of when he was a kid because he's an extra super alpha or something, or that his family didn't give him a chance but to promise to marry a extra super omega regardless of his feelings, to make special children. He sought comfort and warmth in betas because he knew they wouldn't have expectations like marriage from him or wouldn't try to trap him and his family's money whith pregnancy. That's asshole and selfish behavior right there. he then becomes FWB with uke and kinda falls for him, but knows his family won't allow it so when uke tells him he has feelings for him, he decides to break it off now to not hurt both of them more later.
I was also thinking the same thing except the reason why he stayed away from omegas has to do with that weird diseases that the alpha and the son share- which the author should chill a little with the scenes and explain what exactly is going on—— I don’t know the author is confusing me a little especially with this chapter when apparently the alpha never did oral on the MC and was always only on the receiving end- I don’t know what the author is trying to achieve, do they want the readers to be like OMG he isn’t as selfish in bed anymore he isn’t a bad guy ?! I’m just confused lol- even with learning about how the alpha is greedy in bed it makes me question if the alpha actually did care for the MC previously or was he just a conquest that the alpha wanted to conquer and got bored!!
I personally don't think he "got bored". Obviously he didn't want a commitment or a romantic relationship. He didn't get bored. He saw how Noah had reacted and decided to call it quits. We don't know how they transitioned into their FWB status, be it Ian's knowing Noah is naive and taking advantage of him, or just simply that their relationship seguewayed into it naturally. I don't know if Ian had been on the receiving end for orals, just that he never had gone down on Noah before and didn't take foreplay into consideration. I know he had cared about Noah. They had a good relationship before.
The bored thing is the absolute what case scenario I get what your saying but- to put in all that work for a V card is pretty messed up— so I better find out he has legit feelings and not trying to rack of the number of betas he can get under him
ML is an asshole, but he's a self acknowledged asshole. That is why I like him better than the MC, as unpopular of an opinion as that is.
Here's my defence.
From ML's perspective, he starts a FWB relationships with this guy who doesn't complain about it until uke starts developing feelings, when that happens seme breaks it off because he doesn't want a relationship and HAS NOT PROMISED A RELATIONSHIP. After a while he gets his tut, can't find his rut stopper or whatever that was, and because I guess he doesn't want to spread his pheromones around and get all omegas in vicinity all crazy horny, he takes a leave of absences and goes home. Ay this point he's out of his mind, basically the equibalent of drunk, he's incapable of controling himself. Then the next morning he realises someone was there taking advantage of his rut madness, and didn't just fuck him without actual consent, but also bit him and basically forced him into biological life marriage. Then, after a while again, he finds out his rapidt was actually his former FWB who not only took advantage of him at his lowest and run away not confessing about it, but also got pregnant and kept SEME'S OWN CHILD away from seme, forcing him into being an absentee father. AND, the kid is seems has the same disease the seme had, an expensive disease that seme could've long helped with, but uke insisted to endanger their kid because of his cowardice. Just to reiterate, a child is made by two people, but only one of them had the choice of abortion.
On the uke's side, he's not exactly fine with a no strings attached relationship but doesn't say anything. Gets all sad and lonely when the guy that didn't pretend to have feelings for him says that he doesn't have feelings for him and stops their FWB relationship. Then, ine day, in this world where everyone knows about heats and ruts, he realises that his extra alpha former FWB dropped his heat stopper and then took a leave if absences from school for the day. IF uke would've put his second neuron to work, supposedly he is intelligent, he would've had this thought that hey, maybe he's in rut aka out of his mind amd extra horny, maybe it's better I DON'T RAMDOMLY SHOW UP AT HIS DOORSTEP. but he choose to fool himself into beliving that, because it's an expensive thing, he should shop up to the apartment of his former FWB and actual stranger woth no relationship whatsoever instead of sending a text because the stalker inside uke wanted to see his crush one more time .Then he spontaneously turns into an omega and gets his heat. What happens next wasn't either seme's or uke's, tho especially not seme's, he went home when he moticed his rut stopper is missing and didn't get any omega pregnant on the way there. Then, when uke wakes up, he runs away leaving seme ti think, for years, that he just got raped and branded in his own home. Because yes, when you're inebriated you can't give consent, si it was rape from his perspective. Yes men(and in this case alphas) can get raped too, even tho they are bigger and stronger and are the ones that put it in, instead of being the ones being penetrated by foreign things. Don't be sexists people.
Ok so yke runs away realising it was his choices that led to that and feels too guilty to tell seme that hey ot was be who branded you, btw you branded me too in return so let's deal with this together. Then realises he's pregnant and decides that just because seme didn't want to be in a relationship with uke (and also was forced into sex when he was just trying go pass his rut quietly), then seme probably doesn't want anything to do with his own child because that's how it works apparently, and also he might want to take the child from me and give me no shared curtody because ALL ALPHAS ARE DEFINITELY EVIL. No, if I was the seme I would've taken the child from him first amd then maybe see if we can mend the relationship because it's better for the kid to have both parents close to him, but never forgive him. Instead, seme forced him to marry and move in and than get back into a sexual relationship where this time around it's the uke who gets consent more or less taken away from him, because he is a self acknowledged asshole. And he doesn't even seem that angry or violent, just controlling and pushy. And look, he even explains, the uke let his family know about their grandson so even if seme wanted to let uke free and not marry him, the kid would've been taken away, so he's actually giving him the option to stay in kid's life, unlike how the uke didn't give seme the same chance
