DO the translators care if people post spoilers? I mean, why would they? It's not like people are going to stop reading because of spoilers... I don't think there is anything wrong with posting spoilers as long as, like you said, they leave a warning. If they're just leaving spoilers without any warning, basically bating people into spoiling themselves, THEN i could see the spoilers being disrespectful to the readers, but spoilers themselves aren't disrespectful... As far as the warning, I don't see the need to put all those spaces though, all they should do is put spoilers as the topic that way people can just NOT read the body once they see the topic is about spoilers.

I don't know about this translator in particular but I have seen other translators finding it rude because they were uploading chapters pretty quickly and giving up on their translation because we could find it somewhere else. I just didn't want this translator to feel that way and stop because I really like their translations. But yeah, I can't speak for them, I was trying to do damage control just in case it got worse lol
And the thing about putting "spoiler" in the topic is that sometimes my eyes just skip over the title and read the post directly so it was just a plea to make it so that I had to choose whether I wanted to see it or not. Again, that's my fault in a way and I will read the story regardless but still, I would like to not see spoilers right in front of my face, ya feel?

Not to be an ass, but if your eyes "skip over the title" then it is on you for not paying attention, right? The topic is there for a reason, to tell what the person is talking about. It is important. Obviously there're times when people don't fill out the topic, but that has never stopped ME from reading the topics rather than the bodies while going through the comments. Personally, i've NEVER run into a translator that minded spoilers, but if i did i'd ask them why they care. For every person reading ahead, there is at least two more people who don't know where to find the other translations and are waiting for these ones anyways. Not just that, but i've seen quite a few translations taken down because the translator got caught because their translations were broadcast across the comments section, so even IF someone goes out of their way to translate, there isn't any guarantee it'll be there for long.

It may not be necessary but it should be taken into consideration when this happens all the time, not only here but in other discussions too, and people always get upset about it. I really don't think pressing the return key a couple of times is something to complain about, it takes such little effort. It's easier to press enter a few times than it is to make other people more observant of the titles.

I don't think there are translations somewhere else. The raws I see put here are in non-English languages or it's people who read those languages posting stuff or it's folks who saw the raws and GUESSED what was going on via the art, not the dialogue.
If the translators come here and say stop--everyone should respect that. If they don't, it's not an issue.

Yes, but my point is that if people would read the topics it wouldn't be a problem in the first place... the reason it "happens all the time" is because people aren't putting in any effort on their end to read the entirety of the post and are then complaining about spoilers because they didn't read the topic, which is their own fault. It doesn't matter what is in the body of the comment or how it is written, it could be in cursive, it woudn't matter. If people would just read the topic and notice it is about spoilers and just move on there wouldn't be any problems.

I didn't say i was... Don't make this out to be more than it is. I'm just responding to what you're saying with what i think. I even said "they could do this, to go the extra mile"... All i'm saying is that the obvious solution to this is to put spoilers in the topic and for people to not be lazy about reading the topic and then blame the commenter for their own slip up.

It's easier to just put "spoilers" in the topic than to put it in the body of the comment followed by a series of lines... Nobody said anything about making people be more observant, just that if you put spoilers in the title and people don't notice it that its on them and they should stop acting like it is the commenter's fault when they did give a warning. I feel like i've already got my point across as its just sheer logic, feel free and disagree, i won't really mind.

I'll point you to my response to Jaz as they took what i said and misconstrued it. I wasn't saying making people more observant is the easier option, what i was saying is easier is to put "spoilers" in the topic rather than putting it in the body and applying a series of spaces... Are you going to argue that simply writing "spoilers" in the topic takes more effort than writing the same thing in the body AND adding spaces? They were just reaching...
Can you guys please stop with the spoilers? Not only is this annoying to readers, it is also disrespectful to the translator. They are working hard to provide us with translations EVERY SINGLE DAY and are asking for nothing in return. So, again, I beg you: don't post spoilers on here and if you must, give us a warning and write after leaving some space so that we don't have to read it if we don't want to.
