For the most part, I agree. Deliberately going out of your way to read something like that only to comment negatively is a very odd choice.
But the way I look at it, it is only ever deserved if the work is clearly trying to sexualise the content or push it as something that is “okay.” That is wrong, and should probably be very clearly labeled as what it is, which is just “porn.”
But even on this site, most of the time, it’s part of a story and is treated as wrong in said story. I don’t think works like that should be erased, because the first step to approaching a problem is never to pretend it doesn’t exist.
If someone has a personal issue with the content, there is almost guaranteed to be a warning about it beforehand. Just because you decided to ignore it, doesn’t mean you should try and ruin a casual read from someone who is fine reading about these fictional scenarios and treating them as such.

The fact is that you stayed… and read the whole thing… that is weird. Also, another weird aspect is when the manhwa is not problematic at all like “remarried empress” but eng readers shame people who read the manhwa or novel just because it involves slavery.

You can comment your opinion all you want but dang, don’t shame people to the point of replying on their comments and insult them (ex. People who likes Jinx are also being insulted from time to time, it’s just that there’s a whole lot of hate comments on it that the comments I talk about are being burried).

problematic media has existed for DECADES, the only ppl who have a problem w it are Westerners. Japanese and Korean authors (you know the ones making 90 percent of the works on this website) constantly include problematic themes in their manga/manhwa. Up until the rise of purity culture in fandoms during this last decade, no one, and I mean no one had a problem with consuming problematic content. bc people could separate fiction from reality. also, if they hate it so much since it goes against their morals, then why do these people continue to read it and comment hate with every update? sounds like they secretly love it

Yes, Japanese and Korean creators often include controversial themes but that doesn't mean we can't talk about their impact. Also, criticism isn’t always about purity culture.
