He did drive him to become an alcoholic and he never had the sleep walking habits either prior to meeting jaekyung. He just had a debt before but now he has health problems and Jaekyung IS responsible for the massive amount of stress he gave to Dan

I also think dan's grandmother's condition is also affecting dan's health. we all know how much he loves her.
Dan was already in a pinch but champion asshole made it much worse
tbh its so self centered of Jaekyung to think “he destroyed Dan” when really Dan’s life overall has just treated him shitty and Jaekyung was the cherry on top as a horribly failed love. I don’t normally throw this word around but he is such a classic narcissist.
